The Girl Scouts - Dakota Horizons serves girls ages 5-17 in SD, ND, 13 counties in MN and 2 counties in IA. Today's Girl Scouts are tomorrow's involved citizens and leaders. Our mission is focused on programs that
provide girls the opportunity to build self-confidence, develop leadership skills, strengthen character and feel a sense of belonging while experiencing the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

We are proud to provide programming due to individual, family and community support.

We are a recipient of United Way funding, however, these funds account for only a portion of our budget. The money that is donated by individuals, families, and community partners is money well spent as girls grow strong.

$5 Board of Directors Challenge

We are living in challenging times.  Now more than ever, we need to enhance and expand programming for girls ages 5-17 that provide not only great experiences, but measurable outcomes.  With your help, even more girls can participate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), Financial Literacy, Self Expression/Healthy Lives and Entrepreneurial programs, in addition to year round opportunities for learning, fun and friendships (not to mention cookies, crafts and camps).

Over 1.3 million people live in the region served by Dakota Horizons.  In addition, there are virtually millions of former Girl Scouts that may have graduated, moved away or otherwise lost touch with the movement.  They are testament to the outstanding experiences that comes from Girl Scouting and would likely be glad to support Dakota Horizons.  With the push of a button, you can help Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons raise over $125,000, offer more activities and reach more girls.  We know that Girl Scouts is THE premier leadership organization for girls because we are already Girl Scouts.  Please help share the message with the world.
